Honey offers longevity and beauty.
The Greeks and Romans called it “ambrosia” and believed that their immortal gods fed on it. Honey comes from the nectar that bees collect from the flowers of plants, shrubs and trees. This valuable substance is rich in vitamins and minerals, such as potassium.
It is noteworthy that a research unit on the beneficial properties of honey has been maintained in Yakato, New Zealand for twenty years.

Nutritional value

It has to be mentioned that for a table spoon of pollen a bee needs to work for 8 hours a day for a month! The intake of pollen needs to start at a slow pace (a teaspoon for a week) and to be increased in stages. It can be consumed as it is or mixed with honey or in a glass of juice.

For an adult the recommended daily dose is 20-30 grams (a tablespoon), for a child up to 18 years 15-20 grams (a teaspoon) and for young children 3-6 years old 10 grams (half a teaspoon).

Later on the bees eat a mix of royal jelly, pollen and honey whilst the queen bee will continue eating royal jelly for her whole life. Royal jelly is not just a food supplement.

Kids: Half teaspoon (dosing device) every morning in an empty stomach placing the teaspoon under the tongue till the royal jelly dissolves

Although royal jelly has beneficial and therapeutic qualities against many diseases, allergy reactions can occur whilst consumption. Therefore, for the first ten days it is advisable to consume it with the use of a toothpick. We consume the minimum quantity (at the tip of the toothpick). The allergy will occur within the first 48 hours.

Royal jelly is not a medicine but a superfood hence the daily dosage should not be more than half a gram.
